Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about using Court Commander
How do I register, and do I need to be good at badminton?
Anyone can join, no experience needed. Beginners, casual players, and regulars are all welcome. On the home page, pick a session date, fill out the short join form (nickname, sex, and your honest skill level: Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced), and pay. No account, no app to install, no waiting in line at the venue.
Your skill level helps the system pair you with players around your level, so games feel fair and fun whether you're just starting or you've been playing for years.
How does the rotation work?
When you arrive and check in, you join the waiting list. As soon as a court opens up, the system picks 4 players from the top of the queue (based on who's been waiting longest and who plays at a similar level) and calls you to the court.
After your game, you automatically go back to the end of the waiting list and rest while others play. When your turn comes up again, you'll get called back. This way, everyone gets a fair number of games and nobody hogs the court.
How do I pay?
GCash is the easiest and most encouraged way to pay. Scan the QR code on the payment screen, send the exact amount shown, and your slot is confirmed almost instantly. Fast, contactless, and locks in your spot before it fills up.
Cash is also accepted at the venue, but only while slots are still open. Since each session has a limited number of players, cash walk-ins can be turned away once the session is full. To be safe, pay with GCash ahead of time.
Can I join solo, or bring friends?
Both work. Coming solo is totally normal, most players do. You'll be matched with other players on the day, so it's a great way to meet regulars.
Bringing friends? Tap Group on the join form and add up to 8 players at once. One person pays for everyone in a single GCash transfer, and the Queue Master approves the whole group together. Each friend still gets their own spot in the queue.
Where is the venue?
Court Commander runs sessions at partner badminton venues around Baguio City. Each venue has its own schedule, price, and address, so head to the home page, tap a venue card to see its exact location, session dates, and how to get there.
Once you register, the venue address is also saved on your session page so you can pull it up on game day.
Can I get a refund or change my date?
Short answer: no. Once your payment is confirmed, the slot is non-refundable and non-transferable, even if you get sick or can't make it. Your slot counts against the session's limited capacity, so any change would displace another player.
The only exception is when the session itself is cancelled by the venue or Queue Master. In that case, affected players are refunded or moved to the next available session. See the full policy for details.
